It’s Red Ribbon Week® (October 23-31)
The Red Ribbon Campaign® is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the Nation and a way for people and communities to take a visible stand for healthy lifestyles. The campaign was created after DEA Agent Kiki Camarena was kidnapped and killed in Mexico in 1985. People began wearing red ribbons as a symbol of Kiki’s sacrifice and to show their support for drug-free living. With approximately 74,000 American lives lost last year to drug overdose, your participation in Red Ribbon Week is more important than ever.
Take the National Red Ribbon Campaign Pledge now and be a part of the creation of a drug free America.
